In serious but stable condition, a man shot at Little Red First Nation initially sent to Victoria Hospital has been transferred to St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon.
The 28-year-old man was hunting with three other people on the Little Red First Nation, about 10 kilometres north of Sturgeon Lake at approximately 1:40 p.m. on Friday when the incident took place, an RCMP press release reads.
The investigation into this matter is still in the preliminary stages and more work needs to be done to fully understand what happened, the release reads. The victim remained in hospital as of 9:15 p.m. on Friday.
Prince Albert RCMP Forensic Identification Section also assisted in this incident.
No one has been arrested and no charges have been laid in this matter so far.
Parkland Ambulance Care paramedics responded to the scene, reporting in a release that they treated a man with a gunshot wound.
