ROSTHERN, Sask. – A man is recovering after being stabbed several times while at a house party on a Saskatchewan First Nation.
RCMP were called to a residence on the Beardy’s First Nation around 6 a.m. on Saturday after a fight happened between two men.
Mounties arrived to find a 20-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds to his chest and back.
He was airlifted by STARS to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries and has since been released.
Sean Lionel Gardipy, 24, from the Beardy’s First Nation was arrested at another residence on the reserve.
He is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats.
Gardipy is scheduled to appear in a Saskatoon courtroom on Monday morning.
