RCMP to start air search for missing Ochapawace teen

Kelly Allary, 17, from Ochapawace First Nation was last seen walking on a local road a week ago

CBC News

RCMP will begin searching by air for Kelly Allary, 17, who has been missing from Ochapawace First Nation, Sask. for a week.

The teen was last spotted late Monday, May 19, walking by himself on a road in the community, according to RCMP.

People from the Ochapawace area have tried looking for Allary in local ground searches in the area since Wednesday

Officers will scan the area from a plane Monday morning in an effort to find more information about what happened to Allary after he was last seen.

Police say family members and RCMP are concerned the teen hasn't contacted relatives in the past week.

"It appears to be and is reported to be out of the norm for him," said Sergeant Craig Cleary of the Saskatchewan RCMP.

Cleary said part of the reason officers are checking by air is that their investigation and local searches have not turned up any clear information.

Allary is described as a First Nations teen with dyed blonde hair and brown eyes. He stands approximately 5'9" tall and weighs 165 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black and blue hooded Fox brand sweatshirt, blue shoes and black shorts.

Anyone with more information about Kelly Allary is asked to call their local RCMP, police or Crimestoppers.
